The secretariat of the United Nations Framework convention on Climate Change, Bonn, is seeking a Director, D2 level, to run its sustainable development mechanism program (SDM). The program manages and supports the clean development mechanism (CDM) and joint implementation (JI), the two project-based mechanisms under the Kyoto Protocol.
Guided by the Executive Secretary of the UNFCCC, the Director SDM will provide overall Strategic policy, technical and managerial direction to the work of the program, direct SDM support to intergovernmental bodies, lead the contribution of SDM to the development of a future international climate change agreement and contribute to the overall management of the secretariat.
