As it stands now, there is a shortage of work from home writers and the demand for work is evident even in such a volatile economy. Whether you are writing a report or writing a resume cover letter, you must be able to put it all into the right words and phrases.

To "become a writer," you don´t have to be perfect. All you need to know is good grammar and have certain flair with words so you can keep your readers engaged. You may not be able to supplement your income right away, but be patient and aggressive.

2. Books and Ebooks. You can write your own book or become a ghostwriter for someone who does not have time to write their own book. If you are comfortable with giving someone else credit for your own writing in exchange for money, then I would encourage you to do just that. There are many people doing just that. Elance also has businesses or entrepreneurs who post projects looking for ebook writers. These ebooks are usually 50 pages long and research may be possible depending on your knowledge of the topic, but the Internet offers a lot of information.


3. Book reviews. There are authors who need their books to be reviews so that they can increase their book sales. Amazon.com has many examples of book reviews that can help you. It does involve reading so if you are a speed reader, then this is one of the "work from home listings" for you.

4. Press Release. Press releases are very specialized and so you have to know how to write this kind of media driven piece of information. You are trying to advertise without being too blatant.
