San Antonio is home to one of the top ranked MBA programs in the country for Hispanics, according to Hispanic Business magazine.
The University of Texas at San Antonio’s (UTSA) College of Business received word of its ranking in the September 2008 edition of the magazine. This is the first time UTSA’s MBA program has been included in the ranking.
“We are honored to be recognized for the first time by Hispanic Business,” says Business Dean Lynda de la ViƱa. “This ranking elevates the college into the upper echelon of business schools in the nation.”
The top five schools are the University of Texas at Austin, Stanford University, Duke University, Columbia University and Dartmouth College. UTSA was ranked ninth on the list.
The schools were ranked by the number of full-time Hispanic faculty, enrollment of Hispanic students, retention rates, the availability of student support services and graduate program reputation.
UTSA had a fall 2007 enrollment of 682 full- and part-time graduate students. Of those, 26 percent were Hispanic. The university offers a Flex MBA program, an Executive MBA program, an international MBA, a Noon MBA and an Online MBA.
