Guiding the strategic and operation direction of the EDCT division as it restructures to deliver to agenda
for prosperity, you will oversee the development of innovative strategies, programs and new initiatives while balancing stakeholders' expectations and utilizing your strong management experience. Using your exceptional strategic and conceptual thinking, you will provide advice and expertise to the Mayor and establish committees, as well as develop and maintain program partnerships with the private and not for profit sectors. Able to articulate a clear direction for the change management process and build a strong management team, while providing cost-effective and responsible management, you will continue your success in driving the new EDCT mandate forward by creating opportunities for shared success with City divisions, programs, agencies, boards and commissions.
As a results-oriented leader with senior level management experience, you have broad grounding in economic competitiveness and growth, local, economic development, sector development, including the creative industries, labour force development, globalization, and culture and tourism programs.
