MBA Job Opening: Chief Operating Officer (COO) in Gland, Switzerland

The COO will report directly to the Director General, and play a critical role in assisting the organization to fulfil its mission and deliver on its global priorities. S/he will lead the operations duties of WWF International, which serves as the secretariat of the global WWF Network and manages field offices in Europe, Africa, and Asia. S/he will also lead efforts to strenghten the operations of the network.
We are looking for:
1. An internationally experienced executive who will bring superior collaborative and diplomatic skills as well as drive to bring the WWF International Secretariat and the Network to the highest level of performance;
2. An able manager with international experience in operations, significant leadership experience and a strong executive presence.
3. An articulate and skilled communicator able to influence and motivate his/her team, international stakeholders and business partners.
4. A result-oriented individual, highly motivated, and energized by challenges.
5. Perfectly fluent in oral and written communication skills in English; fluency in other languages is a major asset.
This position is located in the WWF International Office in Gland, Switzerland, and requires significant international travel. The succesful candidate will be paid a competitive package commensurate with the significant responsibilities and visibility of the role.
