The Milk Development Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to support the Head of Market Information in the delivery of the department?s successful Datum information service which provides accurate, independent and credible information to British dairy farmers.
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or above, preferably in economics or agricultural economics, however candidates from other numerate disciplines are encouraged. The successful candidate will have a number of years? experience in data analysis and interpretation. Current knowledge of the dairy industry and the issues surrounding it would be advantageous but are not essential as full training will be provided. The post holder will need to be dedicated to quality and accuracy and be able to work effectively in a small team. Experience of managing and motivating others would be advantageous.
This is a challenging role, where no two days are the same. The right person will need to be dynamic and forward thinking, well organised with excellent communication skills and have the ability to act on their own initiative.
