When Sherry Seetram of Baldwin took a class in mergers and acquisitions as part of her Master of Business Administration degree at the C.W. Post Campus of Long Island University, she earned an "A" for the course.
After all, Seetram's employer - First Data Corp. of Melville, where she is a program management director - was itself being acquired in a leveraged buyout at the time. Seetram brought a first-person perspective to the class. "I think our group raised the bar on the final paper," she recalled with a laugh.
Seetram also has brought new value to her work, thanks to the knowledge and skills she gained in the C.W. Post M.B.A. program. The C.W. Post M.B.A. is a student-friendly, 36-to-48 credit program accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business - a distinction shared by just 15 percent of business schools worldwide - and listed in The Princeton Review's "Best 290 Business Schools."

"The M.B.A. has helped me with a lot of the projects I've worked on," said Seetram, who completed her degree in January. "It has helped me to perform my responsibilities in a more efficient manner, and I have received more visibility in my position, too. I think my M.B.A. has definitely added a lot more value and versatility to what I do."
"The professors were very supportive," Seetram said. "I was taught by seasoned, knowledgeable professors who I still e-mail for advice. They were very attentive."
"I'm a mom of two, and juggling a pretty responsible role in my professional life, being a mother and being able to finish my M.B.A. in under two years - I don't think that would have been possible without C.W. Post's flexible schedule," she added.
At C.W. Post, M.B.A. classes are held in the state-of-the-art College of Management Center for Learning, equipped with two professional board rooms, smart classrooms, a Financial Markets Center, a lounge and group study rooms. The C.W. Post Campus is conveniently located at 720 Northern Boulevard (Route 25A) in Brookville, only 10 minutes from exit 41N off the Long Island Expressway. In addition, the C.W. Post M.B.A. program is offered at Long Island University's campus in Brentwood on Second Avenue.
