Military MBA Announces MBA Planning Guide for New GI Bill Also Offers Social Networking for Education Needs of Its Users

WASHINGTON, Oct 01, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Today, Military MBA announced the availability of two New GI Bill resources for prospective MBA graduate degree candidates with military backgrounds. The first is a 10-Month Planning Guide for the New GI Bill, providing veterans with important information for selecting and preparing for an MBA program. The second resource, a social network for military officers and NCOs, provides a much-needed platform for peer connections and information exchange.
Getting accepted in an MBA school and using expanded tuition benefits of New GI Bill takes time and preparation. Military MBA's 10-Month MBA Planning Guide is designed to help military veterans take important steps now so they can be ready use funding from the New GI Bill and start an MBA graduate degree in 10 months on August 1, 2009 -- the date when increased tuition benefits go into effect.
The guide provides a helpful timeline with important information and links to key resources in the planning process. It serves as a checklist for the crucial activities leading up to a veteran's selection of an MBA school and degree program. The planner also contains information on the New GI Bill, admission testing, scholarships, alumni contacts, income potential and career paths.
Military MBA has also added a social networking feature to its website (see militarymba.net), which enables registered users to search and build their own network, using over 15,000 points of contact with similar backgrounds and interests. Through the network, users can collaborate on future education and employment opportunities with their peers via private email.
These new resources are part of Military MBA's initiative to help both institutions and prospective students take full advantage of the New GI bill, which began with the release last month of their partner organization's "5-Point Plan for Success of the New GI Bill."
MBA candidates can access the 10-Month Planning Guide at http://www.militarymba.net/10monthplan.html and use the social network by registering at http://www.militarymba.net/signup.php.
