Purpose of post:
Within Treasury Section of Bureau of the Comptroller the incumbent of the post shall ensure accurate and transparent accounting and reporting for UNESCO's financial assets.
Main responsibilities:
1. To ensure that all the organization's investment and foreign exchange transactions are carried out in accordance with the approved guidelines and to provide Senior Management with accurate and up to date information on UNESCO's portfolio and foreign exchange transactions.
2. To ensure that all treasury-related master data is duly maintained.
3. To act as the Team Leader of the Middle Office Unit.
4. To ensure the correctness of bank integration into UNESCO's ERP system by reviewing and approving the bank reconciliation of all UNESCO's Treasury's bank accounts.
Profile:
1. Master's degree in economics, finance or accounting.
2. 5-7 years of professional experience.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of financial market dynamics
4. Excellent computer literacy; good knowledge of treasury functions in ERP systems such as SAP and familiarity with treasury management software.
5. Excellent knowledge of English and French, ability to draft clear concise reports in english.
